The golden “turmeric” milk

Why we should all be drinking turmeric milk!
When I think of turmeric I think of tasty Asian cooking/curry’s and not for drinking, after reading up about the benefits and different ways you can eat/drink turmeric plus a friend of mine making me a golden milk “cuppa” I decided to try it for myself.
The benefits of turmeric are amazing;
– Natural anti-inflammatory
– Natural anti biotic, anti septic
– It improves digestion
– Lowers cholesterol
– Helps with fat metabolism and weight management
– Improves asthma and helps coughs
– Helps skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis etc)
The main one for me was there is promising results when having turmeric in your diet linked to aiding prevention for cancer (skin, breast, colon, prostate, leukaemia) It even reduces the side effects of chemotherapy. Some serious benefits!


If you’re unsure on tumeric milk recipes here are two simple-ish recipes you can follow

This recipe i have pinched from the amazing Medeleine Shaw

250ml of almond milk “or any milk of your choice”
½ teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of honey (or coconut sugar)
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tiny pinch of salt


No 2 for those who are not a huge fan of the taste of turmeric and want of a more fruity taste

1/2 cup of mango or pineapple or even banana
½ teaspoon of turmeric
½ teaspoon of ginger
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of coconut milk or coconut oil
½ cup of mango or pineapple or even banana
